How to get a card
Status: pilot. Draft — needs review before publishing.
This is the whole process during the pilot. No account required, nothing to install, nothing to integrate.
Step 1 — send the product data
Write to hello@omnicanon.com (or answer in the chat where you were invited) and include any one of these:
- a photo of the product;
- the product name;
- the article number (SKU) from your catalogue;
- the barcode (EAN).
A link to the product page in your store helps: it gives the system one more source to confirm facts against. Details and examples — in What to send.
Keep it to one product per message; the pilot covers up to 5 products per company.
Step 2 — wait for the card
Within 24 hours you receive the card: the category, the attributes, the description, the FAQ and the SEO markup.
Step 3 — review the flagged fields
The card distinguishes the values it confirmed against a source from the values it proposed. You decide only on the fields it flags. How to read it: Reviewing a card.
Step 4 — publish
Copy what you need into your site, your marketplace listing or your social post. The description, the meta tags and the JSON-LD markup are ready to paste.
If something looks wrong
- Wrong category, brand or model — say so and we correct the record. Facts and identity are shared per barcode, so the correction also improves the record other sellers see.
- The product could not be identified — the card keeps the values you submitted and leaves the canonical fields empty rather than inventing them. Send one more item (a photo of the barcode or a link to the product page) and it will be resolved.
- A single fact looks wrong — every attribute points to the source it came from, so the source can be checked and the value re-extracted. Tell us which attribute and what the right value is.
What is not in the pilot
- bulk upload of a CSV or XLSX file;
- direct publishing into a marketplace or a CMS;
- ready-made channel feeds with the validation rules of Prom or Google Merchant Center.
